Our new building continues to take shape. We thank God for one of the mildest winters on record as there has been nothing weather-related to hinder construction. The foundation is done, the elevator shaft has been built, and now most of the framing is done. Roof trusses are scheduled to go up in the next week. Check out some of the progress photos below! … continue reading

2011 Christmas Concert Highlights
Here’s our 35 minute concert reduced to under 10 minutes; just a sampling from each song. We are definitely looking forward to being in our new building for next year. Our current space doesn’t accommodate cameras very well, with columns in the way, etc., so this video doesn’t’ provide the best view. Next year should be better!
Thanksgiving 2011
Thanksgiving is one of those holidays where many travel to be with family or friends. This year, several families from our church ended up staying home for the holiday, and one of our members decided to host a get-together at the beautiful old train station in New Milford. After a fantastic meal, we had a time of singing and special music followed by a brief devotional and time of testimonies.
Times of fellowship like this are among the richest joys we cherish as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Check out some photos from the afternoon in our photo gallery.

Church Meeting Off Site This Sunday
Redding has been without power most of this week, due to last week’s snow storm. Power was recently restored to our building, but there are still some lingering maintenance issues, and we have already made alternate meeting plans.
We will be meeting at the Diffell residence this Sunday instead of our normal location in Redding. Sunday school will begin as normal at 10:00am, Sunday Service at 11:00am. A meal will follow and then the Sunday evening service sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 depending on when the meal is complete.
Please call Ken Brooks at 203-798-7394 for directions if you would like to join us this Sunday.
New Building Foundation Poured
Work continues on our new building. The foundation was poured last week, and steel floor trusses will be installed sometime next week. A convoy of approximately 15 cement trucks delivered the cement, which was pumped to the foundation forms through a long boom. … continue reading

We’ve Broken Ground On Our New Building!
After waiting and praying for nearly eight years, we rejoiced to see the beginning of our anticipation realized. We finally received our building permit and broke ground today for our new building on Route 53. Pastor Ken Brooks spoke at the ceremony, recounting the site’s historical significance and the debt of honor we owe for our religious liberties. Notes from the ceremony are included below.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12
I would like to talk this afternoon about hope deferred.
We as a church have been through a long time of deferred hope. Since 2002, we have hoped to build on this land. We have hoped and prayed, drawn and designed, and every step of the way has brought some new and often unexpected delay. We as a church have lived with hope deferred.
After a while, you kind of get sick of it. Just like the Bible says, Hope deferred maketh the heart sick
But before we go feeling too sorry for ourselves, we should stop and think … continue reading
